QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday: Betting Tips

Unlike the majority of other fixtures from mid-week action, clash between QPR and Sheffield Wednesday is not going to be very important. Both teams are sitting in the middle of the table with super-low chances to get relegated. This is why I expect to see relaxed approach on both sides and possibly a high scoring affair.

Team from London was involved in a lot of goals-gallore matches lately. Four out of their five matches had three goals or more, while the only exception was 1-0 loss to Reading. Their main issue this season was defending (conceded 61 goals in 41 games). On a bright side, overall record in front of the home crowd hasn’t been bad – ten victories, five draws and only five defeats. Total goal difference 30-26 is another reason why I expect goals. Luke Freeman and Massimo Luongo are the key players judging by all stats so far but I don’t fancy any of them for the goal scorers market.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking like a completely different team after the departure of Carlos Carvalhal. Last year they were playing in the playoffs, which is not going to be the case this time. Similarly to QPR, a lot of most recent games for the Owls had three or more goals total (three out of the last five).

The best approach to this match is through the goals market. Both teams to score at 8/11 is a banker bet. However, if you are looking to spice it up, add Over 2.5 bet as well.
